Q. How long can the users keep their recordings?
A. The recordings can be kept as long as the users have space on their DVR’s HDD. When the hard drive gets full, by default the DVR will start deleting the oldest recording to accommodate new recording.
Q. How to check how much space is left on the DVR?
A. Go to >>>Main menu>>>Advanced>>> HDD manage. HDD used space is shown on the list.
Q. Can the user delete any recordings on their DVR?
A. No, the users can’t delete any specific time recordings. There is only one way to delete complete recording by formatting the HDD.
Q. Can the users take a back-up of their recorded data in an external USB device – pen drive or HDD?
A. Yes, the back-up can be taken on the device pre-formatted in FAT32.
In case it is not, then the backup device should be connected to the PC and converted to FAT32 format.

Q. DVR connected to the router but not getting the preview on IE, what is the reason?
A. Check the DVR IP address, should be on same LAN series.
For example: if the network is in 192.168.1.1 series and DVR IP is 192.168.0.110 then it will create a problem.
Solution: Change the IP address of DVR to 192.168.1.110 or something else within the same series.
For cross checking, ping the IP address of DVR from PC/Laptop within the same network.

Q. What options are available with the users to record the camera feed on the NVR?
A. The users can record the feed from the camera by right clicking on NVR menu and entering the record mode, which has three options: manual record, schedule record & stop record.
Manual record: This option is available for 24×7 recording
Schedule record: In this mode, schedule timing, motion detection and any alarm based recording can be done.
Stop record: User can stop recording of any particular camera as per their requirement.
Q. How long can the users keep their recordings?
A. The recordings can be kept as long as the users have space on their NVR’s HDD. When the hard drive gets full, by default the NVR will start deleting the oldest recording to accommodate new recording.
Q. How to check how much space is left on the NVR?
A. Go to >>>Main menu>>>Advanced>>> HDD manage. HDD used space is shown on the list.
Q. Can the user delete any recordings on their NVR?
A. No, the users can’t delete any specific time recordings. There is only one way to delete complete recording by formatting the HDD.
Q. Can the users take a back-up of their recorded data in an external USB device – pen drive or HDD?
A. Yes, the back-up can be taken on the device pre-formatted in FAT32.
In case it is not, then the backup device should be connected to the PC and converted to FAT32 format.
Q. What is the video format of backup data?
A. There two options for the backup format in NVR: H.264 & AVI. This selection can be accessed from the backup menu page in the NVR menu.
Q. What is the default username & password of the NVR?
A. The default username is “admin” and password is (blank).
Q. Can the users create their own username & password?
A. Yes. Go to main menu>>>advanced>>>account & create new username/password.
Q. Is there any master password in case the user forgets their password?
A. No, there is no master password. However, there is a password recovery tool in the CD given along with NVR. The users are suggested to call to customer care for resetting the password.
Q. Can the master password be used through web login?
A. No, the master password can only be used by direct login through the NVR menu (monitor).
Q. If NVR is not connected to monitor then there is any process to recover/break the password?
A. No, the same can only be done by connecting to the monitor.
Q. How to provide earthing/grounding to the NVR?
A. Earthing/grounding can be provided to the NVR by simply connecting the earthing wire with NVR body and tightening the screw.
Q. Sometimes there is delay with IP cameras, what is the issue?
A. By default our IP cameras are set at 15 FPS which results in upto 2 sec delay, however if the setting of the camera is set at 25 fps, the delay reduces.
Q. Does NVR support gigabit LAN port?
A. No, current model doesn’t support gigabit LAN port.

Q. What alarms are supported by the NVR?
A. The NVR supports various alarms for – motion detection, video blind, video loss and abnormality functions like IP conflict, disk error.
Q. Can we see the NVR output directly on the Laptop screen?
A. No. However, the users can access the NVR’s output by connecting the NVR on LAN with Laptop and access via IE or CMS.
Q. How to access NVR on LAN?
A. Connect the NVR on LAN cable with router/switch. Now go to main menu>>>network>>> click on DHCP and save. Restart the NVR & note down the modified IP. Again unmark the DHCP option and save. Now open Internet Explorer >>>open the NVR IP URL>>>user login and see the live preview.
Q. NVR connected to the router but not getting the preview on IE, what is the reason?
A. Check the NVR IP address, should be on same LAN series.
For example: if the network is in 192.168.1.1 series and NVR IP is 192.168.0.110 then it will create a problem.
Solution: Change the IP address of NVR to 192.168.1.110 or something else within the same series.
For cross checking, ping the IP address of NVR from PC/Laptop within the same network.
Q. What is the HTTP port in NVR? Can it be changed?
A. Http port in NVR is 80. The same can also be changed

Q. How to connect the NVR to the cloud?
A. Cloud connectivity is the plug n play feature of the NVR. Connecting the NVR on LAN will connect the NVR to the cloud automatically. To access the NVR on the cloud – note down the serial no. from the menu or scan the QR-code from Mobile App.
Q. How to configure NVR on DDNS?
A. First, connect NVR on LAN with the router. Open router web login page and do forward the port to 80 & 34567. Now go to MyQsee DDNS website i.e. https://myq-see.com/ and create a DDNS domain.
Save this domain name in the NVR. For more details follow the instruction manual.
Q. Can third party DDNS be used in NVR?

A. The PTZ camera needs to be:
1. Powered on

3. Connect the NVR to the Switch
4. Search the IP address of PTZ camera (through NVR). In case there is more than one PTZ camera, the IP address of each camera will need to be changed via web login.

Q. What is the process of changing the IP address of PTZ camera?
A. The PTZ camera IP address can be changed through the web login. The process is:
1. Before mounting the PTZ camera. Ensure the power cable connection is in place. Connect the PTZ camera to the Desktop/ laptop through LAN cable (Ethernet/RJ45)
2. Open the web browser – Internet Explorer and log in the camera with its default IP address, with username – admin, & password – (blank)
3. After Login, go to device configuration/setting>>>Network settings>>>Change IP
4. Change the IP setting, save and exit.
We recommend the process of changing the IP address be done before mounting so that in case of any problem the troubleshooting can be done.
Q. What is POST/ Self Test?
A. Power On Self Test is done every time the PTZ camera is powered on/ restart. The camera will run a diagnostic to check its Pan/Tilt motor and camera lens. In case of any issue, it will display an error message on the screen.
Q. Does PTZ support OSD? What is the command?
A. Yes, all variants of PTZ available with us currently support OSD – On-screen Display. The command for the same is 95 (preset).
Q. How many presets are supported by the IP PTZ camera?
A. There are a total of 128 presets for the PTZ camera. Preset number value ranges from 001 to 064 (except preset 033 and 034) and 101 to 164.
Q. What is Park Time/ Park Action?
A. Park Time is the standby time of the PTZ camera – a pre-configured function set in case the PTZ camera is not in action or is idle. The PTZ camera idle time needs to be set by the user through OSD menu (a minimum of 1 minute).
Q. How many tours and patterns scans are there?
A. There are 4 tour scans with 27 presets per tour and 4 pattern scans.
Q. What is the process to configure tour scan through NVR?
A. The process of configuring tour scan through NVR:
1. Right click on the camera and go to PTZ control.
2. In the PTZ control window move the PTZ to preset 1.
3. Click on set and feed the number – preset1 and click on set.
4. Go back to PTZ control window and move the PTZ to preset2.
5. Click on set and feed the number – preset2 and click on set.
6. A maximum 27 presets (in a similar manner) can be defined per tour scan.
7. To run the tour, go to page switch and call the 97 number preset.
Note: Presets are the locations on which the user wants the camera to pan/tilt/zoom while on tour scan.

A. The pattern and tour scans can be configured through the web interface of PTZ camera.

Q. Sometimes PTZ doesn’t run on tour after power restart, what is the issue?
A. For this type of problem, follow the below instructions:
1. Make no. of presets as required.
2. Call preset ‘95’ to open the PTZ menu.
3. Go to ‘Auto running’.
4. Set park time to 60 sec and park action to ‘tour 1’
5. Exit the menu.
Through this settings PTZ will run on tour 1 after the standby time of 60 sec.
